The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has inviting online applications for the Constable posts in the West Bengal Police Department. The recruitment process is aimed at filling 7,228 male and 3,027 female positions, leaving a total of 10255 vacancies.

Educational Qualification
Candidates who want to work as WB Police Constables must have successfully completed the Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent. To speak, read, and write Bengali is a crucial requirement. The language proficiency requirement for permanent residents of the hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts is not applicable.
Age Limit
To apply for this job, candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age. The government has granted relaxation to various categories. Here are the age relaxation years for each category.
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC-A/OBC-B: 3 years
Transgender: 3 years
Civic Volunteers: 5 years
Selection Process
There are four stages in the selection process for the West Bengal police constable recruitment in 2024. To be finally selected for the job, the candidate is required to clear all of them according to their merit. Interviews: The recruitment process is coming to an end with this final stage. Here is an on-one interview for all candidates who have cleared all previous stages. This stage is intended to assess the personality and communication skills of the chosen candidates.
Application Fee
The application fee for all candidates except those belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories in West Bengal has been kept at ₹ 170. The processing fee for ST and SC candidates in West Bengal has been maintained at ₹ 20. Thus, they are only required to pay processing fees.
